UPDATE to the Library's Summer Access Policies

• Students who were enrolled in the spring and are enrolled in the fall will CONTINUE to have REMOTE (i.e., off-campus) access to our databases, ejournals, and ebooks.
• Only students who are enrolled for summer classes have unfettered access to computer labs on campus, including the library's Info Commons computers.
• Previous spring semester students enrolled for the fall but not for the summer semester can still access their library accounts; they can check out books; they can renew books; they can make requests/place holds; and they may use ILL (Interlibrary Loan) services.
• Those same students can come in and use the Community User workstations to access databases, ejournals, and ebooks on campus. However, they cannot use the Info Commons computers or sign into any of the other computers on campus. As a work around, they may access the public wireless network using their own machines.
• If you fall under this designation (former spring semester student enrolled for the fall but not for this summer) and find that you cannot access the library's electronic resources from home/remotely, please notify us through Ask-a-Librarian (http://www.utdallas.edu/library/askalib/index.html) by giving us your name and UTD e-mail so that we may investigate.

Remote Access Restrictions for Summer

Information Resources places restrictions on remote access to the library's electronic materials.  Students who were enrolled in the spring and are registered for the fall no longer have off campus access to databases, ebooks, and ejournals.  Students who are not enrolled for the summer are welcome to use most electronic resources at our Community User workstations in the library.  Students who were enrolled in the spring and are registered for fall can still access their library accounts, check out books, renew books, and make requests.
