Downtime for All ProQuest Resources Starting on Saturday, June 27

All ProQuest resources will be down for maintenance starting on Saturday, June 27th, 9pm and lasting until Sunday, June 28th, 9am. The list of resources affected is as follows:

Returning Fall Student Library Access RESTORED

The library has been working diligently with IR to restore access to our electronic resources (databases, e-journals and e-books), including the ability to place Interlibrary Loan requests, hold checked-out books via the catalog, and renew books online. We are happy to report that access to these resources has been RESTORED for returning students who are registered for fall classes but not currently taking summer school classes. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience this disruption has caused, and we encourage you to contact us if you encounter problems.

SCOPUS, ScienceDirect Downtime This Saturday, June 20th

SCOPUS and Elsevier's ScienceDirect journals will be down for maintenance this Saturday, June 20th, from 8:00am to midnight. We apologize for the inconvenience while these important updates are applied.

RIA Checkpoint, SciFinder Off-Campus Access Restored

RIA Checkpoint (tax database) and SciFinder (chemistry) should both be working for off-campus access. If you encounter problems, please give the librarian a call at 972-883-2643.

Wiley Interscience Journals - Access to Newer Issues Restored

We previously reported (May 15th entry) on a problem with accessing newer issues (May 2009 forward) of Wiley Interscience journals. Patrons will be happy to know that access to those issues has been restored. We thank you for your patience.

Wiley Interscience Scheduled Downtime on Saturday, 8-9am

Wiley Interscience e-journals will be taken down briefly from 8am-9am this Saturday, June 13th, for standard maintenance.

SciFinder - Off-Campus Access Unavailable

Off-Campus access to SciFinder has been made temporarily unavailable due to technical problems. We are working with CAS representatives to correct the problem as soon as possible, and we will post when off-campus access has been reinstated.

RIA Checkpoint (Tax Database) Up for On-Campus Access, Down for Off-Campus Access

The RIA Checkpoint tax database is now operating for on-campus use only. We are working with RIA's representatives to restore off-campus access as soon as possible.

The RIA Checkpoint tax database is down until further notice. The library has notified the proper authorities and hopes to have the database back online by early next week.

Library Closing Early on Saturday, June 6th

The library will be closing early on Saturday, June 6th, at 3:30pm for a scheduled power outage. We will resume regular operating hours at 1pm on Sunday, June 7th.

WorldCat Unvavailable Sunday, June 7th

The library's WorldCat database will be down temporarily for maintenance on Sunday, June 7th, from noon to 6pm CDT. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
