SIGN UP FOR IEEE STANDARDS ALERTS VIA EMAIL OR RSS IEEE Xplore now features opt-in standards alerts to keep you up-to-date on standards revisions available through email or RSS. This free service has recently been expanded to enable any IEEE Xplore user to be notified whenever a new standard or draft is published or a standard is revised.
Users have the option to sign up for standards alerts based on industry or version number. To sign up, visit:

Service Restored - Fines & Fees Now Payable Through Marketplace

MarketPlace (http://www.utdallas.edu/library/howto/online_payment.htm), the tool for paying fines and fees online, has been restored. For those patrons who may have had problems using this service over the weekend, the library sincerely apologizes.

Service Disruption - No Fine Payments via Marketplace on Thursday, March 8th, 4-9pm

Maintenance is required to make current technological systems compliant with the new Daylight Saving Time standard. It will involve taking multiple server systems offline occurring on Thursday, March 8, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Services that will be affected include WebCT, MarketPlace, and others. MarketPlace (http://www.utdallas.edu/library/howto/online_payment.htm) allows patrons to pay library fines and fees online.

Service Disruption - IEEE Xplore Downtime on Friday, March 9th, 1-4pm

An upgrade of the IEEE Xplore Digital Library (http://libproxy.utdallas.edu/login?url=http://www.ieee.org/ieeexplore) is scheduled for Friday, 9 March. During this deployment, the system will be unavailable for up to three hours beginning at 1:00pm CST.

Library Alert: System Upgrade

McDermott Library is upgrading the Information Commons & Laptops during the Spring Break (March 6-8).

During this upgrade, computers and printing equipment will be unavailable. You are encouraged to use the Computer Labs on campus while we upgrade our system.

Service Disruption - ScienceDirect and Scopus Downtime on Saturday, March 3rd

Please be advised that maintenance has been scheduled on Elsevier's ScienceDirect e-journal service (http://libproxy.utdallas.edu/login?url=http://www.sciencedirect.com) and the Scopus science database (http://libproxy.utdallas.edu/login?url=http://www.scopus.com) for Saturday March 3rd, 2007 resulting in some system downtime. It is anticipated that ScienceDirect and Scopus will be unavailable for approximately 9 hours, starting at 5:30 AM CST.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
