Learn about the resources available at UTD for finding research funding opportunities and writing successful grant applications in this course given by the McDermott Library and the Office of Sponsored Projects.

A hands-on demonstration of the subscription searchable database for grant opportunities, InfoEd’s SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) will also be given.

CSA Sociological Abstracts Discovery Prize

Promoting teaching and learning in sociology as made possible by the use of CSA Sociological Abstracts

First Prize: $3,000

Honorable Mentions: $500

CSA, the publisher of CSA Sociological Abstracts, the premier bibliographic database of international sociological literature, is calling for submissions describing how use of CSA Sociological Abstracts has assisted in teaching and learning. Entries will provide practical examples of how this database has advanced sociological scholarship and research, as well as contributed to the development of information literacy skills among students.

Submission deadline: April 15, 2006

Winner to be announced: May 15 2006
