Power Outage to Affect Library Services on Sunday, June 29

Due to a planned power outage at UTD, the Library Catalog, eJournals, eBooks, and Databases will be unavailable Sunday, June 29, from 9am until approximately 5pm. They will be available as soon as power is restored. The Library building will be open from 5pm until Midnight.

Blackwell Journals Moving to Wiley Interscience - Scheduled Downtime

The Blackwell Synergy e-journals will be migrating over to the Wiley Interscience e-journal portal over the weekend. While these publishers make this important transition, there will be periodic interruptions in service. They are as follows:

Friday - June 27th - Blackwell Synergy closes down at 8:00PM

Saturday - June 28th - Wiley Interscience will shut down temporarily starting at 4:00AM

Sunday - June 29th - Wiley Interscience comes back online with Blackwell journals incorporated at 8:00PM

FRANCIS

Francis is created by the Institut de l'Information Scientifique et Technique of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy, France. This multilingual, multidisciplinary database is especially useful for the humanities and social sciences. Francis covers thousands of journals, books, and conference papers in many languages.

June 25th RefAware Seminar CANCELLED

The RefAware Seminar scheduled for June 25th, 1-2:30 to be held in MC2.524 has been CANCELLED.

Library Opens Later on Sunday, June 29th

Due to the campus-wide power outage that has been scheduled for Sunday, June 29th, from 10am to 4pm, the library will not open its doors until 5pm that day. Its new hours will be from 5pm to midnight that Sunday only. We appreciate our patrons' cooperation and understanding in this matter.

The Ask a UT System Librarian-Live Chat has resumed extended hours for the summer. They are as follows:
